My first memories of Brandon are of him playing basketball. He might have been 8 or 9 and we were at Reagan High School. John Smith was Brandon's coach as I recall. I also coached Brandon some as an assistant to John and we had alot of fun with the boys including Brandon. He really tried hard to be good at basketball. Brandon always tried to be good at things others wanted him to be good at even if he didn't care as much about it as they did. He was just that kind a guy - a big hearted giver. I remember taking him to the park in his neighborhood and working with him on his jumpshot when it was kinda cold or windy, he always tried so hard to get it right and we practiced for hours at a time. Once I decided I was going to take him fishing and we went to Walmart to buy all the tackle he would need. He let me pick out everything - rod, reel, tacklebox, lures, everything. I thought for sure he would become a fisherman but you know, he didn't care about fishing just spending time with me. I don't think we ever went fishing once but I made sure he was totaly outfitted, lol. He got a kick out of just watching me get it all together. Later he told me he just didn't want to be home by himself and appreciated the company as his parents weren't home yet. Brandon was everybodies friend even if he didn't share your interests he cared about you. Brandon was loyal, he worked for H.E.B. for several years and was much liked and appreciated by his co-workers. When I would go to the store and Brandon wasn't working in the bakery, I'd talk to the people there and we always ended up talking about what a great guy Brandon was, lol. When Brandon was diagnosed with cancer, it was a huge shock to us and our church. I remember sitting in the surgery waiting room that early morning in the fall of 2003. Amazing how many people got up and went to the hospital that morning. Brandon was a little fearful going into surgery that day. But I can honestly say that is the only time I saw Brandon nervous like that. He was soooo upbeat during his treatments, he kept everyone around him encouraged and believing for good things all the way through. He never displayed any discouragement at any time to me and so admired him. What a human being! Brandon's gone on the be with Jesus now. He inspires me continualy and will continue to inspire me live each day to the best of my ability with God's help. I'll never forget him and will draw from his strength when times get difficult. Hope to see you someday up there beyond the blue buddy. My condolences to his family and many friends. God Bless you all is my prayer.
Sincerely,
Daniel C.

I first met Brandon when I was about 5 or 6, and he was a year younger than me. We hit it off really well. I can honestly say that Brandon was one of my best friends growing up in Allen, Tx. Our birthdays were three days apart. I will always remember the great birthday sleepovers we used to have at the Ferguson house. We would stay up all night playing games like Risk, and watching movies. I remember watching Home Alone for the first time with Brandon. We laughed our heads off the entire movie. I'll never forget that. This past holidays, my two kids watched that same movie on TV, and the memories of Brandon and I cracking up the entire movie came across my mind. I remember all the Sunday afternoons between morning service and night service, we would go over each other's houses and just play all afternoon. One of the saddest memories I have with Brandon was when Brandon and his family almost moved to Hawaii, but luckily for me it didn't work out and I was able to spend a few more years with Brandon. But time came again when Brandon and his family decided to relocate to Austin, TX, and I can remember crying because my best friend was moving away. Luckily for me, my family and I went to visit Brandon and his Family one more time before I moved to California in 1993. We went for a weekend, and I can remember Brandon and I didn't miss a step and just enjoyed each other's company so much. Brandon was truly a wonderful friend, but unfortunaly we lost contact with each other after I moved to California. Today is March 16, 2007, and I just found out about the passing of Brandon. I truly had to hold back tears when I found out because I remembered the energy Brandon would bring to a room, and I can imagine how much Brandon's friends and family are feeling with that huge void in their life right now, because I lost my father, Richard Aguirre to cancer August of 2005. I would like to say to the Ferguson Family that I am so sorry for your loss. Brandon was a good friend to me growing up, and I just wish I would kept in contact with him to continue our friendship. I will always consider him as my first Best Friend and I will never forget him. And Brandon, Say hi to my dad, he'll remember you and I'll see you soon!!!

God Bless,
Samuel Aguirre

I was saddened to hear the news of Brandon. As everyone has mentioned, he was a very energetic and fun loving person. The few years of our childhood that we shared in Plano are greatly treasured. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,

I hate that I am just learning about this loss now. Brandon was an amazing guy. Growing up close to Linnea I have some great memories of him and his wonderful energy and humor. He always had a crowd around him and hanging on his every word, even at a young age. I am sorry for your loss. Your family will stay in my prayers.

I just found out about Brandon's passing and I am truly saddened by this news. I went to school with Brandon in middle school and high school. I met him when I was in the 8th grade and he was a young basoon player in 7th. I got to know him better in marching band and had some pretty good conversations back then. As I think about Brandon now and those memories, I only remember his trademark and goofy self. He always was joking around when we talked and I remember him now like it was yesterday we were talking to each other on those bus rides back from Round Rock stadium.

I wish now that we had seen each other since 1999, maybe meeting at the grocery store or something, by chance. It is hard to write this becasue now I know that will never be.

I still have some pics of us together from the Boston trip with band. Brandon was being silly as always trying to swallow the ice cream in one bite. I will make sure he is one of the first people I will see in the hereafter, so I can hear his laugh again. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. I will miss you, Brandon.

Sincerely,
Eric Sanchez
